Chicken Soup for Programmers

Ingredients:
12 kb RAM
23 kb free disk space
4 bits char garlic[ ]
5 bits union
1 16-bit compiler
3 header files
1 kg McCormick chicken intestines

a pinch of pointers and structures to taste

Warm boot your workspace and turn on the compiler. Start with a new source file from the file menu. Include as preprocessors stdio.h, stdlib.h and string.h. You may also include other header files as you may wish. Declare and initialize all int, char and other global variables and pointers to null. Make a function call of int saut?() with parameters passing by reference the array garlic[ ] and 5 bits of union chopped. Mix all ingredients inside a nested for loop and increment appropriately until chicken is tender. Use an if statement to break and season to taste. Serve quickly while hot. Best for end-user servings.

People nowadays have devoted so much of their time and effort to influence, convince, appeal or even persuade people to change. We see in every inspirational note containing the words ? change for the better? if not its meaning is of the same thought. Every prophet proclaims about change. Anybody expects changes from anybody and more probably is a change to something nicer. Constancy is boring and change is the exact opposite.

According to a book I happened read, the mind responds only to change. We start to feel thirsty when there is a change, particularly a rise, in the salt levels in our blood stream. Changes in temperature signals our senses to feel warmth or coldness. The brain, according to some sort of study, seem to ignore things that are unvarying.

Nagbago ka na..

Gara mo, iba ka na ngayon.

Hindi ikaw yung .. na nakilala ko dati.

But sometimes, we are fooled by the instance that we seem to feel that we have changed or even others for that matter. Change could be simulated by just being able to know ourselves or others even better than before. We didn?t changed as ourselves but it is the way that we look at ourselves that?s changed. We just seem to overlook the difference, but would it matter?

The only thing constant in the world is change, as one can see it. Whether we consciously or unconsciously alter the different aspects of our being, it is less likely not to. We change in realtime so as to speak, our mind, ideas and emotions, we change, period.

But why would something as constant as change, the brain could not ignore if they say it would do? I don?t know.

I?m not saying that we should ignore change but rather to accept it. Accept that there would eventually be a lot of changes either minor or drastic, good or bad that will happen through the course of our lifetime.

Sorry, just letting out some ideas. I don?t know.

harhar, nakakuha na rin ako sa wakas ng kauna-unahan kong klaskard sa college harhar.

can we ever stop to think?
even for just a sigle second, if we could stop the flow of
ideas on our minds. could we?
could we make nuerons stop passing messages to each other?
stop axons from receiving information
and dendrites to stop sending them?
maybe not or your brain dead.. hehe
we should not stop thinking but rather
we should stop to think…
we should mind things and not
to be indifferent to them

wala lang
