Those of you eagerly awaiting your tax rebate checks will rejoice at the Treasury Department’s announcement that they’re depositing the checks ahead of schedule. Their original announcement stated that May 2 would be rebate check opening day, but they’ve updated their schedule with the early start date of Monday, April 28.

bakit nga ba may rebate? kasi ayon kay President Bush:

“The rebates — up to $600 for an individual, $1,200 for a couple and an additional $300 for each dependent child — are the centerpiece of the government’s $168 billion stimulus package, enacted in February. Roughly 130 million households are expected to get them.”

“The money is going to help Americans offset the high prices we’re seeing at the gas pump, the grocery store, and also give our economy a boost to help us pull out of this economic slowdown.”

ang taas na rin kasi ng presyo ng gasolina at bilihin dito. di lang halata pero humihina ang ekonomiya ng US. kelangan ng pera ng mga tao na panggastos. kelangan ko ng perang panggastos! hehehe.
